The Yorkshire Centre of the BARC orgainised a weekend of action, over the weekend of 1st and 2nd August 2026, as part of the Harewood Speed Hillclimb Championship.
After four rounds of the Harewood Speed Hillclimb and the Harewood Fastest Time of the Day Award Series, the British Automobile Racing Club (BARC) Yorkshire Centre is halfway though the 2026 season.
Joining the Harewood regulars would be a large entry of competitors from the Northampton Motorsport Caterham & Lotus Seven Club Speed Championship and the Midland Speed Championship making up a full 150 entry list to take the start line for both days.
Mark Teale driving his Suzuki Swift GTI hangs on to the Harewood Championship lead, now from James Hudson driving the Honda S2000, Rob Spedding now moves up to third place, Rob driving his Vector TF93K (Formula Ford single seater) with David Leach driving his Lotus Elise in fourth place but all this could change after the final two Championship events which take place over the weekend of 26th & 27th September, when dropped scores are taken into account.
